RECLAIM gives you the opportunity to mark out areas of interest
on an image. Any number of annotations can be applied to the
image so that many markers can be applied to complex images.
To mark out an area to annotate,
click and drag from the top left point of the target area
to the bottom right point. Clicking and dragging on using
the laptop controls involves holding down the left ‘mouse’
key with your thumb and then using the touchpad to draw your
coordinates. Release your left ‘mouse’ key when
you have drawn your target area. When you have drawn your
box, RECLAIM will ask you for your Annotation – this
is the description of the marked out area. You can enter up
to three hundred characters for this area.

This information will also be searchable
in a database and the area will be clearly marked out to users.
If you decide you don’t want to go ahead with the annotation
after all, click the CANCEL button. If you are happy with
the annotation, click the OK button.
You can also zoom into an image using the
zoom tools to find more detail and write an annotation in
this view also.

If you wish to edit or remove the annotations
once you’ve added them simply right click on the target
area.
You can repeat this process as many
times as you like as long as the annotations do not overlap.
