Click on the database button to enter the database mode.

When you click the
button, you will be presented with search controls
which will enable you to search the database. The database
will contain all the records you have entered into ImagenLite.
To make a quick search of the database simply enter a keywords
or phrase in the search box and click the search button:

You will be presented with a hitlist consisting of records
where your search querie matched
the metadata.

You can navigate through the number of items/pages
in the hitlist using the up down buttons and numbered links.

If you click on one of the items in the
hitlist you will be able to see the full record.
You will notice that the metadata is 'greyed out' and that
the fields are disabled. This is because they are database
records. If If you want to change the metadata or delete the
record you will need to log in by clicking the 'Log in' button
(bottom right). For this you will need to know the password
to unlock the database. For more information on logging in
and general adminstration of the database see chapter 12 -
Administrating ImagenLite
From the full record view you can go backwards
and forwards in the hitlist by navigating through the thumbnails
in the normal manner.

Alternatively you can go back to the hitlist
by clicking the 'back to hitlist' button or clicking the main
database button.

Finally, an advanced search facility
is available to let you search individual fields with more
precision. A number of parameters can be built up in the advanced
search to create complex queries. Eg using two fields you
could search for blue cars: colour="blue" and vehicle="car"
etc.
