Go to the ‘MEDIA’
Page.
Click on the thumbnail of an item and the
assessment page appears.
For an image item you can to mark out areas
of interest and add annotations. This has many uses such as
identifying specific individuals by name or annotating car
registration plates.

Any number of annotations can be made to
a single image and they are imported into the database providing
additional search data. A new annotation will be rejected
if it overlaps with an existing one.
You move your mouse over the image and press
the left-hand button down whilst moving the mouse to create
a square region on the image. On lifting the button a square
region will appear as a doted square and a popup appears for
you to add a suitable annotation.
When imported into the database these annotations
can be used to search for the item.
To delete an existing annotation move
over the region with you mouse, right click and select delete.
