There is a single administrator for each ImagenLite deployment.
All standard users are able to review media, add metadata
and import new items into ImagenLite. Once these items are
stored in the ImagenLite database they become view-only and
read-only to these users.
As an administrator you have additional
capabilities to manage the database.
Press the ‘LOG IN’
button on the bottom right of the ‘DATABASE’
page to logon as administrator. When ImagenLite is first installed
there is no administrator setup and when you press the ‘LOG
IN’ button for the first time you will be asked to setup
the administrator password.
Once the password has been setup subsequent
attempts to ‘LOG IN’ will need
the administrator’s password to proceed.
Having logged in as administrator you will
see two additional features in the main record page when in
database mode:
The ‘UPDATE’
button appears at the bottom right of the assessment page.
You will notice that the metadata fields become editable and
you can now make additional modifications to the metadata
of the item. Pressing ‘UPDATE’ updates the metadata
for that record in the database

The ‘DELETE RECORD’ button in
the assessment page allows you to delete the particular item
from the database.

The ‘DISK IMPORT’ button at the
bottom right of the ‘DISK VIEW’
page enables you to overwrite any import restrictions on items
already stored in the database. When ‘unlocked’
all items can be imported into the database.
