Before exporting your records it is necessary to create a
collection of records you wish to export. To do this perform
a search of the database to find the records you want to export.
See chapter 9: Searching the database.
When you are happy with the hitlist you
want to export, simply click the 'Export hitlist' button.

You will be asked to provide a location for ImagenLite to
export the records to - either on your PC or a network location:

ImagenLite will then prepare the export
files and show you a progress bar.
You can also switch to ‘SWITCH
TO ADVANCED SEARCH VIEW’ for a more detailed
search involving combined searches of specific metadata fields.
At the top of the advanced search page there is specific button
to ‘Search for non-evidential material over n days’,
set the required number of days and press search button to
retrieve all relevant items.
Once you press the search button a hit list
of results is displayed. The grey line immediately below the
quick search button displays the number of results found and
the search text used.
Your export folder will contain an XML file containing the
metadata for all the files you have exported. The folder will
also contain a series a folders containing the media assets
you have exported - the originals and thumbnail versions.
These export files are compatible with Cambridge Imaging Systems'
digital asset management system - Imagen and Imagen2.
